We got Zeke right after we got married. We lived in a little house right outside of Benton, and we had a little bit of a mouse problem. When I say little I mean BIG! I was a newly married city girl and was greatly disturbed by the mouse "remnants" that I continued to find ALL OVER my new flatware, everyday wear, and cookwear. It was tramatic for me! SOOOO...Matt suggested we get a cat to keep the mice away. I thought I hated cats...so I said ok, BUT we will live him outside and we won't even give him a name. Well, that lasted about a week. We kept him inside, got him declawed, and named him. We fell in love.
Well...about a year later we got a dog. Zeke started feeling neglected and was peeing on everything! It was BAD! Ever since I not been a fan of the cat, to say the least, but I LOVED Duke!
Then I had a baby :) Now there is pet hair ALL OVER MY HOUSE! I cannot handle it! It seriously stresses me out. I sweep and vaccuum almost everyday. All I want is to NOT have pets. My life would be better. I have a fear of the cat peeing in Halle Kate's bed or on her playmat. Duke is CONSTANTLY licking her face and hands...and did I mention there is pethair EVERYWHERE?!?! I want to love my animals again, but sadly I really want to let them out and never let them in again. Sometimes, Matt will ask me, "Where is Zeke?" I will respond, "I let him out" or "He died." He gets SO mad at me...its kinda funny.
Here are some pictures so you can put a face with the name :)
I am not trying get rid of them...at this point...
but I do want to regain my sanity. Matt LOVES these animas...I think love might even be an understatement. I really give him a hard time about it...I over-exaggerate my dislike for them just aggrivate him :)
But in all seriousness...HELP! I am drowing in pet hair and Halle Kate is eating it :(
I am in no capacity to give out advice about pet hair or controlling pets behavior, but I do keep Dean's door closed whenever we aren't in there so that I know Dean's rug is pet free. I keep all of harold's items in our room so basically we get the brunt of the hair. I think you are a great mom and pet mom. I am jealous that you love duke so much, annie doesn't recieve that much love from me..yikes!
