Seriously, I am lucky!

So this week I have realized what a GREAT baby Halle Kate is! She is sleeping like a champ, she rarely cries, and she LOVES to take a bath! WOW!!! This morning when I was bathing her, she was making the most hilarious facial expressions! It might be my favorite thing about her. I know most new moms are probably like this, but I can seriously just look at her ALL DAY LONG! She will be 3 weeks old on Sunday, and I can honestly say that I have gotten nothing done since she has been here. I just cuddle with her and stare at her...HA! Luckily my mom is still in town and is determined to make the magic happen. She has been working on Halle Kate's nursery non-stop! I am so thankful for her help! As soon as we get a few more things hung on the walls I will post some pictures.

I think the craziest thing is how convinced I was that I wanted my first child to be a boy. I guess because somehow I thought they would be easier. HOWEVER, I am LOVING this sweet girl! I love bows, dresses, tutus, and sparkling pacies. Plus, she is pretty dang easy so far, but i have some great friends that I have been able to call and overwhelm with questions :).

Also...just for my satisfaction...Matt is CONVINCED that Halle Kate is a spitting image of him, BUT I have a few baby pictures that she looks pretty identical to. Here is one of me at 2 weeks and one of her at 2 weeks. What do you think?

Here are some pictures of Halle Kate with my family. When she was born, my dad and his wonderful wife Cheryl were in town for a week. They left on Friday and then my mom came on Saturday to stay for a while. My two youngest brothers, Collin and Graham, came to stay for several days. I have had such a great time hanging out with my family and watching them love on my little girl!

  1. Yay Stefan - I'm so excited you started a blog! I'm not touching who she looks like with a ten foot pole, but either way she sure is pretty! ;)
