Back to School

Well school is officially underway. We started back last Wednesday, and I finally feel like I am back in "the routine." Before Halle Kate came, I just could not possibly imagine being a stay at home mom. I just love people, and I am the kind of person who despirately needs a routine. HOWEVER, I never imagined how hard it would be to leave Halle Kate! I just loved having the 12 weeks to be at home with her. Even if we did absolutely nothing...she is a pretty great cuddle buddy :). The first day of inservice was MISERABLE! I seriously could not focus. I just kept picturing her in the corner of her classroom crying with no one attending to her. The GOOD NEWS IS I was so wrong. Every day when I pick her up she is either sleeping or smiling. The Lord has totally put my mind at ease. He is our protector and I know he is taking care of her. I have great classes this year, so that definitely helps too! I still really miss her, but luckily I have 4th period off before lunch. So if I really want to, I can leave and go see her. I have to admit I have done that a couple of times..HA!

This past weekend, we went to Tyler for my grandmother's 85th birthday party. It was a surprise party, and it was GREAT seeing all of my family. There were alot of my aunts and cousins who had never met Halle Kate, so that was fun getting to introduce her. I might have gone a little over board in dressing her for the party. We got this precious little tutu from a boutique here in town, and I decided it was a good party outfit. But it was seriously HUGE! Take a look.






It was almost as big as she is. She was, however, the life of the party, when she wasn't napping she was cracking up! That girl laughs all the time! I love it! Here are just a couple more pics from the party.

My little brother Graham is SO cute with her!!! My brothers are all in this contest to see who can be the best uncle. It is really funny. Uncle "G" might be in the lead...I'm just sayin.

Here are a couple of my sweet daddy with her. He is completely in love with this little girl. I just love seeing her with him. She has her daddy and her Pop wrapped around her little finger.





What is this face? She looks just like Matt! I am finally coming to grips with it. I mean he is pretty dang cute, so I am learning to be ok with it :)
